The studio space

 
Our studio space in St Peters has a space to use traditional lighting with studio backgrounds and a second section that is light and airy and a bit boho. The styling and colour palette is organic and textural, making use of beautiful natural light, our boho props and white shag rug, our luxurious textile collection and whatever you bring with you on the day.
 
Your collection of images will contain moments that are emotive, artistic, tear-jerking, funny, bursting with personality, and above all else, they will tell the unique story of you and your family. No formulas, gimmicks or uncomfortable posing. Collections usually have 40+ images.

Aside from the upfront package fee, no decisions, commitment or payment is required from you until your purchasing appointment or online gallery. If you don’t love your photos, you don’t have to buy any! Rest assured, hard-selling is not our style.

We believe that professional portraits deserve pride of place in your home, so we have spent many years perfecting our product range to suit modern tastes, lifestyles and budgets. 

 

You can choose from prints, wall art, and albums, and digital files can be included in your order too.

  • Matted prints start at $650 for a set of six 8×10″ prints. 
  • Framed wall art starts at $450 
  • Digital files can be purchased individually or as part of a package.
  • Custom wall collections  start at $995.

Most families invest $650-$1995 on their portrait collections.

Terms & Conditions
  • Book by September 30th. Session can take place up to 26th January, 2025.
  • The offer total included value is $350 (shoot fee is $150, two images are $200. Package  must be paid in full at time of booking.
  • The photography session can be for immediate family members and grandparents and can be an outdoor family session or an indoor studio session at Tortuga Studios in St Peters, but the focus is on Dads (or father role) and their kids.
  • All sales are final and no refunds, reschedules or cancellations will be given under any circumstances, If you are sick on the day please SMS 042 4 344 842 on the day to let us know and we will give you a gift certificate  to the value of $150. IF you dont show up and have not been in touch there will be no credit given.
  • All orders from the session will take place at a special appointment created for this purpose scheduled for two weeks after your session. This appointment can be in person or via zoom and will last one hour. All individuals who wish to palace an order of gift prints, wall art or an album are encouraged to attend. Full price list is available via the contact form on our website.
  • There is also an option to have an online gallery  with additional files and  prints to be purchased from here within 3 days of receiving it.;
  • The offer may not be substituted for any other product or service or used in conjunction with any other promotion, gift card or booking, and is not redeemable for cash.

Meet Your Photographer

Lion & Cub Photography is headed up by acclaimed photographer Nikki McLennan, whose work has been commended for its technical and artistic strength for over 22 years. An alumni of National Art School, Nikki has won several awards and her work is exhibited in Australia and overseas, plus she is a published writer for Capture magazine. This month Nikki won the Australian Small Business Champions award for the photography category and recently was second in the family portrait category at Australian Photographic Prize.

Nikki was absolutely amazing throughout the whole experience. She thought of things that I would never have - including organising for someone who was great with children to be at the family photoshoot to entertain our 3 year old whilst we did some of the single photos with our baby.
