To have your child’s photograph taken, you must register them first using the google form on this page. Please ensure you take a moment to read the terms of purchase located at the bottom of this page.

WHAT SORT OF CHILDCARE PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?

Lion & Cub Photography’s award winning photographer Nikki McLennan has over 23 years experience. We pride ourselves on capturing genuine smiles & quirks with a natural and fun approach that is led by the child as much as possible.

You will receive a gallery of up to 10 photos of each individual child to choose from in both colour and black and white.

SIBLINGS – Siblings can be photographed together.3

Tell your children that the lady with the camera is super funny and will tell you how clever you are. You can tell them that Nikki took their photos last year and it will be easy because she will show her wooden motorbike and puppet collection.

If your child is super shy, we have several strategies to bring them out of their shell.

CLOTHING GUIDE:

I recommend avoiding logos, characters or stripes as they distract from the gorgeous face of your child. I do encourage favourite outfits, party dresses and great shirts that look super cute on little boys. Simple singlets and onesies in neutral tones look super cute! Denim always photographs well.

IMPORTANT: If you do not intend to purchase images of your child or you do not wish for your child’s photo to be taken, please advise your educators.

Each registered child will be photographed individually and in a class photo. If you do not register your child will not be photographed.

Class Photographs – Lion & Cub does a group photo that has everyone in together along with the room’s educators.

NOTE: You will NOT be able to view the class portrait prior to purchase. Please be aware that the name you supply on the form is the name used in the class photo names list.

Sibling Photographs ARE AVAILABLE

The $30 registration fee can be used as a credit for a class photo, 8 x 10 enlargement or as a credit towards PACK A, B or C or the Popular or Premium digital packages. 

You will receive an email from Lion & Cub Photography with your password to access your private online gallery when the photographs are ready with 2 -3 weeks.

To ensure the gallery is private, last year we used your child’s date of birth in month/day format e.g. If your child was born 28/11 the code would be 2811. For siblings, use the oldest child’s DOB.

You will have TWO WEEKS to order your images online. This ensures orders will be ready for Christmas.

Orders are placed online via your private gallery.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS
If you purchase digital photographs, you will receive an email with a link to download the photographs instantly.

PRINTED PHOTOGRAPHS
Print parcels will be delivered to daycare downstairs for pick up around 3-4 weeks later.

THE FINE PRINT – TERMS OF PURCHASE
Please read this to understand what you are agreeing to when you register your child for preschool photos.

Photo days are Tuesday September 17th & Thursday September 19th

There will be a make up day on a Wednesday the following week.

If you wish to select a specific day for your child to be photographed, please register them for that day only and ensure you advise your educators.

By registering for preschool portraits you agree to the following Terms and Conditions of Purchase.

– Full payment is due and payable upon ordering. Digital files are only available after payment is processed.

– Please ensure you pack another change of clothes that are suitable for photos. 

– Once your order has been placed and paid for, your files are ordered immediately. You cannot change or cancel your order, but you can add to an existing one.

– Printed Photographs will be available to collect downstairs early November

– Digital photographs are provided as JPEG files via email and are suitable or printing up to 8 x 12 inches. RAW files are not available.

– The Photographer retains Copyright of ALL photographs. All photographs are protected by Copyright Law.

– Where permission is granted, the Client grants the Photographer right to use  photographs for advertising and other purposes that promote Lion & Cub Photography. 

– If you are late to daycare, your child may miss out on being in the class photo.

–Retouching that involves adding a different face from another photo or other background elements incurs an additional fee of $25 per image.

–Ordered images will remain on file for one year from the date of photo day. Unordered images  will be purged after 30 days of the first viewing.

–Reprint orders can be made at any time throughout the year while your images are on file. As always, there is a minimum print order amount of $35, therefore it is best to place all orders at one time to  avoid having to meet the minimum each time.

–Due to the custom nature of the products and services provided by Lion & Cub Photography, all sales are final. Items cannot be returned or exchanged. You may add on to your order at any time, but a sale is  considered final at the time it is made. 

-It is your responsibility to backup your digital files.
